My Vegetable Garden

Aged dairy compost is layered on top of the no-dig garden in October. This is all the feed needed to promote soil life that adds to the fertility to grow healthy vegetables.

A row of native plants and other beneficial plants invites a diversity of insects. The hot pink flower is Farewell-to-Spring Clarkia.

My little greenhouse stores seedlings in the late winter/early spring before planting out. In the summer, there are some tomato and cucumber plants inside in grow bags.

Carrots and beets growing with close spacing.
